------------------
I love modern naval aircraft and they are my favorite subject to model, so when I saw this book I bought it with out really even looking at it much.
On getting it home I was blown away by all the great photos of my favorite aircraft in their natural environment, the flight deck. There are F-14s, F-18s, EA-6Bs, S-3s, SH-60s, E-2s and even the COD, also included are some nice pictures of deck crew and the carrier itself. Each picture is crisp and blown up to fill most of the page, and as a professional photographer my self I know good work when I see it. For a modeler it is hard to find a picture showing detail, every photo in this book shows detail and for me it helped answer a few questions about vents, or panel lines. Although it is not a walk around, it
does provide pictures of the most important part of a aircraft, the outside, the surface that most people will notice first when they look at a model.
If you are looking for some great reference photos of US Navy aircraft, or diorama ideas, then get this book, it will always be on your workbench.
