Here is a 1/48 Tamiya Me 109 E-4 in desert scheme. I used Model Master Acryl throughout when painting this model.
I used Eduard's detail set which consisted of plenty of cockpit items, as well as fuselage radio gear and wheel well detail. The only surgery needed was to cut open the radio hatch.
I used the kit decals, which brings up a sore point I have with Tamiya, I recommend NOT using the kit decals. I found them to be thick, and they just didn't want to snuggle down, even using Microscale or Testors decal solutions. You would think that Tamiya would supply better decals, considering the price. No one should need to use aftermarket decals for any Tamiya kit. I'd like to know why they stopped using those beautiful Invisiclear decals.
Enjoy the photos.
