Here are my 2001
SCMA Charleston contest winners.
Above is my Hasegawa F-14B
Tomcat. It won first place in the 1/48 jet fighter/recon category. I used the
Aeromaster decals sheet. It was detailed with True Details resin seats and
Eduard photo-etch set. The bomb racks and the center screen in the
back office were scratch built. The external stores are from the various
Hasegawa weapons sets.
| Next is my
Hasegawa F/A-18D Hornet. It won second place in the same category. Again I
used Aeromaster decals. It was built straight out of the box with the
addition of the photo-etch canopy detail from an old Monogram A-18
high-tech kit. All external stores are from Hasegawa sets. |

| Next is a
Mi-24 Hind. It is the 1/48 Monogram kit and it won first place in the 1/48
and smaller rotary wing category. It also won second place in the 2000
contest. |

Next
we have a Revell-Monogram B-25J Mitchell. It won second place in the 1/48 prop
bomber/cargo category. It was built out of box with Aeromaster decals.
| Last we
have a Tamiya F4U-1A Corsair. It won second place in the 1/48 prop
fighter/recon category. It is finished in Aeromasters decals for VMF-214
(Pappy Boyington) and weathered with pastels.
