On July 11, 2009, at the Hanson Dam recreation & Sports Complex in Lake View Terrace California, The American Heros Helicopter Air Show took place. It was a hot day in the San Fernando Valley, but the helicopters were cool, the girls were cooler, and the show was a great success! Here are a few images of the event, though it just as easily could have been called the Sikorsky Blackhawk Event as there was a large gathering of the famous helicopter and its variants.

On a personal note, I was astounded and happy to get to see up close and personal a Huey UH-1B Seawolves as back in the Helicopter Forum I am working on the exact model from HAL(3) for my "Sunday Trip up the Mekong" diorama. This one was tail 321 mine is 329 ! Wow! Like a kid in a candy shop!!! Also on hand my good friend from my Burbank Club John Bronson and his son Max. So strange to be in the middle of a crowd and have my name called out by someone I know. With all the police and sheriifs there I wasn't quite sure what to expect ! (LOL)
