Silly Week 2010

Hello everyone. Happy New Year! I am proud to present to you all my 1/48 scale, scratch built, Invisible Jet. The inspiration came from watching the cartoon The Super Friends. Wonder Woman like to fly in an invisible jet, so I figured why not. I chose 1/48 scale because it is my favorite scale to work in. It took me about six months to complete it but it was worth the effort! I paid extra attention to weathering. I really wanted a used but not totally worn out look. I really like the look of this model I think it captured all the lines of the invisible jet.

Painting was done with my awesome Iwata airbrush. I chose Testors acrylic paints for easy clean up. There really isn't any FS numbers available to match the picture so I mixed and matched my own paints. The decals are original art work printed on my printer at home.

I had a lot of fun building The Invisible Jet but I do not think I will build  another one. The parts are very difficult to find when I drop them!
