The
history: released by the end of 1941 the Nakajima B5N-2 was regarded as the best
carrier-borne torpedo-bomber of the WW.II. After the great goal of Pearl
Harbour assault and the actions that led to the destruction of the three best
American carriers, Lexington, Yorktown and Hornet, the “Kate” as was
nicknamed by Allied Intelligence, operated along the Japanese assault troops in
the Pacific and South-East Asia during 1942.
Two
years later she became tragically superseded and suffered great losses in the
Philippines Campain. But this torpedo-bomber was remembered by the great courage
of their crews also, the Japanese pilots that proved to be second to none.

The
model: this model is one of my oldest realizations. I built it long ago in
1989, quite straight OB. The acceptable results I obtained was due
the extremely good quality of Hasegawa kits. The colours used was “Marabù
082” for the Aluminium plus Humbrol HB.1/30 for the Green. The decals
were
also supplied within the box and reacted very well with
“Marc-Softer” decals liquid.
Happy
modelling to all the ARC Air friends.
