  Polish (Military) Aviation Day 2010

This is my next model I want to show on ARC - 1/48 Supermarine Spitfire Mk IIa, made as a fighter from 303 Sqn. RAF, flown by Kołaczkowski and Urbanowicz.  I used the Airfix 1/48 Supermarine Spitfire Mk I/II model, but code letters, serial number and RAF roundels on a bottom side of wings are painted from masks.  I repositioned elevators, since I've noticed, that they are dropped on nearly all photos of real planes.

As it was before (I've shared an early Spitfire Mk I with Watts propeller some time ago - from the same kit), the construction wasn't very difficult, and I had no problems with it. The model is painted with Model Master Authentic paints, and slightly faded and weathered with pastels.

I hope you enjoy her!

Regards from Poland.
