When I was in the Austrian army, I was working in the maintenance hangar in which the Austrian SAAB DRAKEN J 35OE were repaired, precisely I had to do with the avionics. So it was  a kind of nostalgic to build this kit.

This was my first Hasegawa kit in 1/48, and it was great to do it. I built the aircraft nearly out-of-the-box -> I only cut the elevons and brought into right position when the hydraulic system is off. A very nice feature of this kit is the emergency-turbine which is moving in working position when the engine is turned off.

At least it was great fun to do this kit. I want to build a complete Swedish fighter jet collection and the J 35F was the first...Hey AIRFIX: please re-release the old J 37 Viggen-kit!!...and Hobby Boss: what about a J 32 Lansen??
