The Bombardier Challenger 604 is a modern twin-engine business aircraft in low-wing design. The aircraft has a two-person cockpit and a cabin for up to 19 passengers and some nice VIP configurations.

The CL 604 is a further development of the Challenger 600 and 601. The installation of an additional tank, the range compared to the basic version CL600 has been increased by 2272 km.

The Revell 1:144 replica is a well-crafted and easy to be built model kit, in the typical good quality, as they are known by Revell for some time. I like to see a business jet at this scale on the market. The kit consists of 50 numbered parts for three different Versions (Germany, Australia and Denmark).

I choose the dark grey Royal Danish Air Force CL-660-2B16 from 604 Squadron, Aalborg, Denmark 2014, because it is near to my home county of Schleswig-Holstein in Northern Germany.

The surfaces are highly detailed - the engravings perhaps a little too thick.

The construction is not difficult. You have to decide, if the open windows should remain open to be later filled with liquid glass or be puttied to use the accompanying Window decals.

A little problem is the wing attachment to the fuselage, there must be a little filling and sanding. Unfortunately, the short end of the cone has some injection related dings, which must also be filled.

Otherwise all the parts fit together well - and the cockpit is a class of its own - it fit was frightfully super good in the opening and one wishes for other models also.

As usual I used Revell Agua Color and Vallejo Air for airbrushing an Ink an diluted oils for weathering. In this case however of course the weathering was very minimal. Its a clean and very well kept business jet, even in military use.

The decals, as I know it from revel, are excellent.

Nice an easy built.

At the time I`m very busy to prepare some of my 1:144pc for the presentation during the European Model Exhibition of the “Plastic Modelbau Club” Lübeck on April 23/24 2016. For more information see:
