This is a kit that has always captured my imagination. Having bought the Aires cockpit set and deciding to use some weapons from my stash I proceeded to build the model.

It was quite a challenge as Kinetic, as always over complicate the build. However the mouldings were crisp and the detail just superb.

I scratch built the internals of the wheel bays as they are extremely busy and are very exposed with the wheels down.

Although complex everything went together well, my only gripe was the canopy which was extremely brittle and it was too easy to cause stress fractures in it. Fortunately Kinetic customer service is excellent and I was able to get a replacement within 10 days, which I didn't think was too bad considering it came half way around the world.

I strayed from Vallejo and used the Mig IF aircraft set, which in my opinion get the colours spot on. The model was finished in the usual way with a gloss cote to seal, decals, gloss cote and then weathering before a satin cote of Vallejo varnish was added to seal it all off.
