The model of the BV P.209.02 was built from the excellent Airmodel-resin kit:

The project was dated in 1944, it never came to production. It was planned to use a He S 011 turbojet engine and three MK 108 (Cal. 30 mm) as armament.

The parts from the kit are very accurate. Cockpit and engine are very well detailled. The canopy is a deepdrawn part.
I decided to make a night fighter out of my BV P.209. I used the antenna on the nose and the external fuel tanks I had left from my Me 1106B from AZ models, see here:
http://www.arcair.com/Gal15/14201-14300/gal14221-Me1106-Bruckelt/00.shtm
Further I added seat belts out of aluminium foil, the gunsight, the pitot tube and the antenna on the back of the fuselage.
A bit extra weight (~ 8 g) in the nose is necessary to keep the model on its three wheels.
Because of the high quality standard of the kit, it´s recommended for modellers with less experience with resin kits.
