  Indian Republic day

The Westland Seaking is a British licence built Sikorsky S-61, there are a some differences from the American version the most important being the Rolls Royce engine, British Anti Submarine Warfare System and Computerised FCS. The Seaking was primary designed for Anti Submarine Warfare missions.

Post the 1965 Indo Pak war and to counter Pakistan's newly acquired submarines, India acquired these helicopters from Britain in 1969.

Fujimi kit was a gift from my friend Leo. I had started the build a while ago but it spent a lot of time on the shelf of shame for lack of decals. I finally got it made.

Though being a old kit it was a pleasure to build. I used Lifecolor paints mix and Bright spark decals for the roundel.

Wishing everyone a Happy Republic Day. Jai Hind.
