When I built my Fi 158 (http://www.arcair.com/Gal16/15301-15400/gal15381-Fi-58-Bruckelt/00.shtm ) from Bird Models I had the idea that it could be a very cool civil, aerobatic plane, with some modifications. So I ordered the kit from Bird Models again to make my idea come true. I changed views of the original one to find a good looking shape for a new, conventional tailplane and a larger canopy. Instead a retractable tail skid my Sport-version shall have a fixed tail wheel and a propeller with spinner.

The parts for the tailplane I made from plastic sheet. For the new, deepdrawn canopy I made a mold out of wood. I decided to show the model airborne, so there had to be a pilot inside. Therefore I adapted a figure from Preiser (H0 scale).

The display was made out of a 3 mm thick plastic board and an acrylic rod Ø 2mm.

I painted the model with brush and colors from Humbrol and Revell. I printed the decals by myself and sealed the model with clear, silk varnish from Mr. Hobby.

I enjoyed making this fictional plane. That´s the best on our hobby: There are no limits and you can make your ideas visible!
