So you are probably
thinking "Man, what a geek!". It couldn't be helped, temptation took
me from the righteous path of modeling modern aircraft and I had to indulge.
This is the old Snap-Tight MPC kit popular around twenty years ago. I used some
extra 1/48th decals from the Monogram AV-8 kit and the 1/72 Fujimi A-4M. I cut
the very thick one piece canopy in half and posed it in the open position. I
built extra details into the cockpit with brass wiring for the ejection handles
and styrene strip for the hinge of the canopy. In staying true to all
"Scooters," I added a spare refueling probe from the 1/48th Hasegawa
A-4F and used model master acrylics to apply a paint scheme similar to those
seen on the A-4M during it's twilight years. I weathered the kit with pastels
covered with future and a coat of Testors clear flat. At least it's not Star
Trek...Enjoy!
