This is my Fine Molds Jedi Starfighter with its hyperdrive ring. It’s Obi-Wan Kenobi’s starfighter used just before the beginning of the Clone War at the Geonosis battle in the nice “Attack of the Clones” movie.
The kit is very nice as usual with Fine Molds. It’s engineered for being very simple to build, and it’s the case. The big work here will concern the decals. There are two big sheets of them here but you can also paint the red parts as the little separate decals are provided too.
You can only build one version here, you get an Obi-Wan Kenobi figure and an R4 unit. You can choose to build your starfighter with open or closed canopy and landing gears. Display stands are also provided. Finally, it’s a real little toy for your children…
The
model was built OOB and all painted with Gunze gloss white H1 and steel H18 for
the engine parts. The other operations consist of decaling, decaling, decal…
For weathering, I applied a black enamel juice in structure lines and some smoke
grey H95 for engine “exhausts”. The finish is satin, almost matt. Well,
this is another nice kit that will look different on your desk… May
