1/48 Hasegawa Ju-87 B-2 Stuka

Hello everybody. This diorama has been on my shelf for like one year, waiting the proper time to take some pictures. This is the fourth Ju-87 from Hasegawa that I´ve built. So this time I decided to ad something else to the kit to make it look more impressive.

So I started looking for some extra goodies for this beautiful kit and I ended buying the Verlinden Update set, verlinden Gun Cleaning Team, and a figure set from DML/Dragon. Also from my spare parts box I took a Ketenkraftrad which came with the Me-262 from Tamiya (which I´ve already posted).

I built the kit straight forward, superdetailing the interior with the verlinden set, and some scratchbuild. The plane was painted the classic RLM 65/70/71, some gloss lacquear applied, then decaling with Microscale products, again some semigloss lacquer. After that I airbrushed very thinned white paint all over the uppersurface. Then I wait until it dried and applied an 50/50 raw umber and black ivory oils very diluted. The let it dry for 2 days and with a piece of linen dumped with mineral spirits start to make some cleaning here and there.

Some extra wiring was added to the engine to make it look more real, at this time I have to say that the tools that came with the verlinden set are superb..!!!

For the base of the diorama I used a piece of wood, some drywall filling putty to make some bumps, and over all used diluted school glue and let lots of baking soda over it to simulate snow.

Well, being this my first diorama I have to say that I really like how it ended. So please every comments and suggestions are more then welcomed. Thanks a lot.
