This is high quality
Tamiya kit that I built OOB. Parts are well detailed and fit together well.
This plane represents the "Ladies Wild / Buzzy McGoo II" F-84G piloted
by Major Ted McLean of the 7th Fighter Bomber Group based in Taegu, South Korea
1952. Decals are from Aeromaster.

The kit was painted
with an overall metal finish with an olive drab antiglare panel. I used a
base coat of Floquil Old Silver and then airbrushed various shades of different
Model Master Metalizer colors on select panels to achieve the multi-hue metal
finish. The kit was weathered slightly with an acrylic sludge wash in
addition to pastels. A thin coat of acrylic flat finished the model.
This kit was a joy to build and
I'm satisfied with the overall result. I spent roughly 30 hours on this
kit with most of that time devoted to masking and painting panels for the
multi-hue finish. This kit represents a fine beginning to my Korean
warbird collection.
