Here
is my 1/48 Hasegawa Spitfire Mk IXe finished with the markings of the Turkish
Air Force (TuaF).
After
the WWII, the TuaF was inclined to make the “Spitfire”s its standard
fighter. Bbetween January 1947 and February 1948 a total of 170 Spitfire Mk.IX's were received. The
TuaF
used Mk9s up to the beginning of
1952.
The
base kit is a Hasegawa Spitfire Mk IXc. I used the Ultracast “Cannon bay
covers” to convert it from “C” wing to
“E” wing
The
cockpit is built mostly out of the box except for Eduard seatbelts and the
colored instrument panel.
