Here's my award
winning Fw190 A-3 by Tamiya. It's a rather simple OOB build to relax from the
large scale that I usually do. It's a birthday present from my father from 3
years ago. I only added harnesses made from strips of masking tape and tarps
from tissue. The model was painted with Tamiya acrylics and Klear (as
usual) was used for the decals. It has been sitting on my shelf for
quite a while and I finally entered it in our 2006 club competition,
under the dioramas category. It took third place, and I was satisfied with that.

When the j udges had done their
judging, one of them told me that my Focke Wulf was eligible to enter the
IPMS nationals in Auckland. This time, my model came under the aircraft
category, along with two of my other models. I scored all three places in that
category... and I was stunned. I am gradually returning into building large
scale models again, and I'm currently working on a 1/32 Fw190 A8 that I am
converting into a Sturmbock.
