1/32 Hasegawa F-86

This is the quite old 1/32 Hasegawa kit.  It is an excellent kit with a lot of detail on all parts.  Good overall fit, no ejection marks, complete cockpit, airbrake compartment, excellent engine; what else can you possibly want?  The construction process was easy and I didn't use any aftermarket products.  I always prefer making everything myself, using wire, plasticard and scrap.  The model was painted with enamel colours from the Humbrol and Testors range of metalizers.  It represents an F-86 of the Hellenic Air Force in overall aluminium scheme.  The squadron badge was hand-painted, using a roundel decal as a template.  The airbrake and gun compartments were improved with solder wire and plastic sheet.  The engine was greatly improved with wire, scrap and parts from the spares box and was painted with the same range of colours but in much darker shades.

Aspects of the improved cockpit.  The seat belts are made from thin aluminium foil.  Other improvements were made with pieces of stretched sprue and copper wire.
