The Iranian Army and Air Force received huge quantities of modern weapons in the 1970s.  Among those received were up to 120 Boeing-Elicoterri CH-47Cs. The model depicts a IRIAF CH-47C wearing its original gray-green camouflage.

I used part of Trumpeter's test shot (see my review article) and kit bashed it with a a CH-47A kit.  This saved me a lot of money as the only way to get a CH-47 is to combine parts from a CH-47A kit and a CH-47D kit.  I also scratchbuilt some details, particularly the large diameter wheel peculiar with late model CH-47s.  I also detailed the rear bulkhead with wire, sprue and scrap plastic.

Iranian Decals were printed on my printer.

I hope you like it. A full article on converting the CH-47A to a CH-47C appears at our club's website at www.ipmsphilippines.com.
