The annual Eagles Day scale model aircraft exhibition and competition celebrated its fifth anniversary on the 19 October 2008 and for a one day event attracted its highest number of entrants (30) and entries (97) since its inception. As in previous years, the standard of entries was once again very high and made the judges task of deciding the final placings, all the more difficult.

Ten competition categories, six 'Best of' awards plus an 'Entrants Choice' award meant that the competitors were vying for some very desirable prizes.
