Remembering the last time I stumbled on that little gnome, taking a bath, I was walking through a small forest, near the place we’re living. Not really looking for gnomes but , yes, hoping that I would meet one of those small people!

Suddenly, I smelt some smoke, tobacco….and yes!!! A gnome, enjoying his pipe, sitting on a toadstool……

While I withdrew silently, trying not to disturb this peaceful scene, I continued my walk slowly. Then, in the corner of my eye, I saw …. a little house, possible belonging to a gnome? While checking the surroundings, I heard some singing.

A very faint, little voice but he had some fun…. Indeed, a gnome, enjoying some beer and the way he was singing, it wasn’t his first goblet!!

Maybe he had to celebrate something, so I let the little guy, enjoying his beer.

Happy, that I had the opportunity seeing those little men, I went on. Then, as a climax, another faint voice! I hide myself behind a tree and yes….. a gnome-lady!! I think she was searching the one with the beer… hopefully , he wasn’t too deep in trouble….

Those little gnomes were again made by Elisena. Except the little house, that is a garden ornament, made by TIBO, France, but it went just fine with the gnome figures to create a little story.

It was a challenge when starting to paint a thing like the toadstool,( that isn’t just white and red!) but I enjoyed every second of building it! It was a welcome change in building aircraft kits!

I wish all the readers and viewers a happy and healthy 2009 and of course lots of modeling time!! Enjoy!

Carl
