1/48 F-16 Tuesday 23rd December the Israel IPMS held the annual show in Herzeliya, just north of Tel-Aviv (read: just north of the worst traffic jams). This year marked 20 years since the national modelers club was founded, and a special ceremony was held where certificates were given to those who have been members for 20 years continuously. Some of them haven't aged much - most have put on a bit of weight and lost some hair. As usual, some very skilled work was on display. Asher was the clubs founder in 1988, and he doesn't usually build a model of a subject - he builds the whole squadron. Today he displayed models covering almost every type of helicopter flown by the IAF, in every scheme carried.
1/48 T-6 Ra'anan Weiss, of Isradecals, another 20 year veteran, had a little stand with his products on display. Yuval Kizner displayed some beautiful models, including the Yak 52, judged best model, and Yacov Buchbut diplayed museum quality 1:32 scale models under his trademark perspex covers (which hinders photography). There seemed to be less armour than usual this year, and only two or three ships. Just a little taste of the show... Benny Click on images below to see larger images
