This is my Hasegawa
A-4F, a pretty good kit, which was enhanced by installing an Aires Cockpit Set.
Generally, the build went smoothly, the only minor hiccup being the poor fit of
the inserts for the front wing roots. Some filling, sanding and rescribing
solved the problem.

I made a couple of
other improvements by adding hydraulic lines and scratchbuilt details to
the landing gear. The model was painted with Model Master Enamels and
glossed with Future. I opted to paint the dark blue stripes on the rudder
as well as the red trim on the intakes instead of using the kit-supplied
decals. Weathering was kept to a minimum as the markings depicted a CAG
bird (these were usually clean) I replaced the stars and bars and the
intake warnings using a sheet from my stash as the red from the kit
decals was much too dark.
A final coat of Future and a light
coat of Testors Dullcote and that was it. Until next time.
