#72017 1/72 scale Decal sheet

This decal sheet comes in 1/72 scale. The decal sheet includes stencils for one of five MiG-27's / MiG-23's and , plus markings for the 3 different MiG-21's and two different MiG-27's. This decal sheet covers an Iraqi MiG-23 during Operation Desert Storm to a German MiG-23 to an Indian Mig-27 as well as a Soviet MiG-27 and a Czech Mig-23. The painting options include everything from a 3 colour Dark Green, Sand and Mid Brown Iraqi Desert Scheme from Desert Storm on this sheet to a Olive Green and Light Green paint scheme of the German MiG-23. The quality of the sheet is good....excellent colours.....clear printing and completely in register although the stencil data for the 1/72 stencils are too small to be clearly printed and readable. I recommend this sheet to anyone looking for interesting options to the kit decals. Recommended kits are the 1/72 Academy and Hasegawa kits. Also included in the instructions is how to doa MiG-23 conversion.
Decal option #1 is a MiG-27 D Flogger J of the 19th Guards Fighter-Bomber Regiment of the 125th Fighter-Bomber Division in the 16th Soviet Air Force-Frontal Aviation out of Rechlin-Larz Airbase in Germany in 1991. The paint scheme is Dark Green FS 34079, Mid Green FS 34226, Mid Brown FS 30215 and Dark Red Brown FS 30206 on the topside with some Randome Grey FS 36173 on the top of the tail. The underside is Light Grey FS 36440. Markings include a red flag on a yellow ring on the sides of the fuselage on the sides of the engine intakes.
Decal option #2 is a MiG-27 L Flogger J of No. 9Sqn "Wolfpack" of the Indian Air force out of Hindan Airbase in 1991. The paint scheme is Mid Green FS 34226, Dark Brown FS 30227 and Sand FS 33613 on the topside with some Randome Grey FS 36173 on the top of the tail. The underside is Light Blue FS 35622. Markings include a "Wolfpack" insignia on the sides of the fuselage on the sides of the engine intakes.
Decal option #3 is a MiG-23 BN Flogger H of the Iraqi Air Force out of Al Basrah West Airbase in 1990-1991. This plane was equipped with inflight-refuelling probe and Exocet ASM's for anti-shipping operations. The paint scheme is Dark Green FS 34079, Sand FS 33613 and Earth Brown FS 30219 on the topside with some Randome Grey FS 36173 on the top of the tail. The underside is Light Blue FS 35622. Markings include some Arabic script on the side of the fuselage beside the cockpit.
Decal option #4 is a MiG-23 BN Flogger H 2nd Sqn of the 37th Fighter Bomber Wing "Klement Gottweld" of the East German Air Force out of Drewitz Airbase in 1989. The paint scheme is Olive Green FS 34052 and Light Olive FS 34097 on the topside with some Pale Grey FS 36495 on the top of the tail. The underside is Light Blue FS 35622.
Decal option #5 is a MiG-23 BN Flogger H 28th Fighter Bomber Regiment of the Czech and Slovak Airforce out of Caslav Airbase in 1992. The paint scheme is Olive Green FS 34052 and Light Olive FS 34097 on the topside with some Pale Grey FS 36495 on the top of the tail. The underside is Mid Brown FS 30215.
