Max Decals is famous for their colourful markings. This decal sheet is no exception. It is a continuation of their very popular Antarctic Aviation Series. Included in this decal sheet are markings for 17 American C-130 Hercules and one American C-121J Super Constellation. The Hercules are operated by the US Navy and the US Air Force as well as one operated by the New York Air National Guard on behalf of the National Science Foundation.
All these planes are very colourful and many have very interesting Antarctic theme nose art....such as Penguin mission markings on the Constellation. As well as Penguin nose art on at least one of the Hercs....as well as other interesting nose art. One of the Hercs is a plane that was buried for 17 years on the Icecap before being recovered. The list goes on and on about these different brightly covered aircraft that braved the harsh conditions of Antarctica that are included on this decal sheet.

A number of manufacturers produce skis for 1/72 Hercules kits. They include Cutting Edge Resin CEC72003 LC-130 Ski Conversion set for any C-130 kit available from Meteor Productions in the USA and Flightpath in the UK (http://www.djparkins.clara.net/fltpath/fp72pwu_lc130.htm) and http://www.djparkins.clara.net/fltpath/fp72pwu_c130_t56engine.htm. In addition, Ron's Resins in Australia produces parts to accurately portray a late model C-130 H with longer sponsons, air conditioning pack and T-56 engine nacelles available from Ron's Resin through Snowy Mountain Models in Australia 72.15 C-130 H/J Hercules correction for Italeri C-130 H/J kits 7261 C-130 Herc Engine Nacelles to correct Italeri kits.
The quality of my sample decal sheet is flawless and in perfect register. I highly recommend this decal sheet to anyone looking to do a more colourful Hercules or Constellation.
Thanks to Max Decals for providing me with a review sample.
