This decal sheet is sure to be of
interest to Spitfire builders interested in building Norwegian Spitfires in RAF
Squadrons during WW2. Included on this decal sheet are
markings for 7 different Mk.IX Spitfires. These Spits are in standard RAF
green/grey camo....although
standard camo does tend to vary on each Spitfire. The Norwegian's
made an effort to add colour to their aircraft, so you'll find these aircraft to
be generally more colourful than the average RAF Spitfire. This includes
Red/Blue/White stripes to represent the Norwegian flag on the rudder and/or a
fuselage band and/or stripes under the wings.
The quality of the decals is first rate with no register
problems. The clear carrier film around the decals is very small...which
is always good to see. Some stencils are not included with this decal sheet, but these
stencils if needed can be acquired from the kit decals. Below I've
included scans of the instruction sheets....there is also one page of text
telling about history of Norwegian Spitfires included with the instruction
sheets. I found these decals to be quite appealing and I look forward to
building a Norwegian Spitfire in the future. I recommend these decals to
anyone wanting to build a more unique and interesting Spitfire.
I would like to thank
Norseman
Decals for sending me these review samples. You can order their decals
from the Norseman Decals website.
