NAS Fallon in Nevada took
possession of 16 brand new (fairly) F-16A/Bs from AMARC in 2003.
These aircraft were ex-Pakistani Block 15 aircraft that were embargoed
due to Pakistan's refusal to sign the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty.
Many of these aircraft had less than 12 hours of flight time on them
when the Navy received them. Since then they have been assimilated
into the NSAWC Adversary Program and four of these jets are represented
on this sheet.
There are enough markings
for four complete aircraft with one of these jets being a B model.
Desert Sand, Blue, and the standard Pakistani camouflage adorn these
aircraft. Full color paint schematics for all the schemes are
represented on the instruction sheets and this information was provided
by some very reliable and accurate sources.
Viper #1 is a F-16B
2 seater 3 tone tan jet. Colours for this desert paint scheme are
Tan FS30279, Tan FS30219 and Tan FS30140. This aircraft has
a black number "06" on the side of the jet intake and at the
top of the tail. This jet also has the word NAVY at the top centre
of both sides of the fuselage. On the sides of the tail is a black
lightning bolt with the fighter school's logo superimposed over the
lightning bolt.
