F-4DableModels

F-4DableModels is a new decal company located in Malaysia.  Currently they have 2 decals sheets.   Both sheets deal with the Royal Malaysian Air Force F/A-18D Hornet.   

1)       TUDM McAir F/A-18D Hornet in 1/48 scale

 2)       TUDM McAir F/A-18D Hornet in 1/72 scale

The decals are printed by Cartograf in Italy.  These are standard markings for one of eight Gunship Grey painted F/A-18D Hornet's flown by the Tentera Udara Diraja Malaysia (Malay language for the Royal Malaysian Air Force). 

The initial decal sheets had some slight problems with font design for the number 5 being incorrect as well as the nose modex numbers were too large.  The affected decals were printed up on a "correction sheet" to ensure complete accuracy.

There are 2 different types of Malaysian roundel and both are included on this decal sheet.  Also included are tail and nose numbers for all 8 F/A-18D's in service with the Royal Malaysian Air Force.  You get a set of generic black F/A-18 stencils for one aircraft.

To build an accurate Malaysian F/A-18D you will have to do some slight modifications to the basic F/A-18 model kit, but the instructions go into detail about what needs to be changed.

The instructions include one page of text and one page of black and white line drawings showing decal placement for all the stencils.  Further info about modelling the F/A-18D in Malaysian service is also included. The 1/48 and 1/72 decal sheets will be available separately.
