This new decal sheet from Cutting Edge Modelworks includes markings for two different 1/32 Fw-190's.  The recommended kits for these decals is the 1/32 Hasegawa Fw-190A-8 kit.

The first aircraft is a Fw-190A-8 with Stab/JG300 flown by Maj. Walther Dahl in December 1944.  This plane is Blue 13 (the #13 has a white outline) and the paint scheme is a camo scheme of RLM 74/75 on top and RLM 76 on the underside.  There is a grey/green mottling on the side of the fuselage.  There is a red fuselage band on the rear of the fuselage.  The prop cone is black with a white spiral that is included as a decal.  There is nose art that may have been applied for propaganda purposes.  The artwork is a B-17 in the sights of a gun.  This is a multi layered decal and includes a red and a black B-17 and a blue background which is also a version claimed to exist by some researchers.  This artwork is also provided for the right side of the engine cowl, although it is not known if this artwork was applied to the right side of the aircraft.

The second aircraft is a Fw-190A-8 with 2./JG 11 out of Darmstadt in 1945.  This plane is Black 10 and the paint scheme is a camo scheme of RLM 75 or possibly faded RLM 74 on top and RLM 76 on the underside.  There is a yellow fuselage band on the rear of the fuselage and a yellow area on the upper end of the tail.  The prop cone is black with a white spiral that is included as a decal.  There is nose art on the side of the fuselage by the windscreen of a medieval knight in full armour.  The artwork is a multi layered decal to insure perfect registration.  This artwork is also on the right side of the aircraft.

The decals were flawlessly printed and in perfect registration and the clear carrier film is trimmed very close to the crisply printed colored areas.  The variety of paint schemes is intriguing and attractive.  I also appreciate the fact these paint schemes aren't overly difficult, which will be a good thing for modellers with modest airbrushing skills.

The instructions are clear and includes 3 view drawings and an extra page of text instructions is included with a small bit of info about both the planes as well as helpful tips for decal application.

A very nice decal sheet and highly recommended for all the Fw-190 and Luftwaffe builders.

I would like to thank Cutting Edge Modelworks for providing me with this review sample.
