This new decal
sheet from Cutting Edge
Modelworks includes markings for two different 1/48 B-26's with sexy nose
art.
The first aircraft is a B-26B-50-MA
"HARD TO GET" flown by Maj Delwin D. Bentley (Commander of the of the 497
BS) out
of Stanstead, England in 1944.
This B-26 is amazingly well done and each side of the nose has different sexy
noseart. The nose art appears to be the same lady....on one side she is
sitting in white one piece bathing suit and on the other she's lying on
her back wearing a one piece body suit. The nose art is applied to
a white decal to place under the noseart decal to avoid colour bleed through.
The paint scheme is baremetal on the underside and Olive drab on the topside
with black code numbers of 71 F on the side of the fuselage and yellow serial
numbers on the tail as well as a large white triangle.
The
second aircraft is a B-26C-40-MO "Belle
Ringer" serial number 42-107534. The nose art
is a sexy lady carrying a box of bombs and her skirt is blowing up from a breeze
from below. The nose art is applied to
a white decal to place under the noseart decal to avoid colour bleed through.
The paint scheme is grey on the underside and Olive drab on the topside
with yellow serial numbers on the tail.
