This Plastic
Model Club Montex paint masks
from Design &
Marketing Int'l contains markings for 2 different 1/32 Ki-84 Hayate. These are painting masks to permit you to paint all the markings
on these 2 aircraft. This will give you the most accurate look
to your large 1/32 Ki-84 Hayate. Painting markings on larger aircraft models is not new, but until
now this technique has only been done by the totally dedicated
modellers. Also included is two sets of canopy paint masks.
The first aircraft
is
a Ki-84
Hayate with the 520 Temporary Interception Regiment from Nakatsu, Japan in the
spring of 1945. The paint scheme is Nakajima Dark Green on the
topside and IJA Grey-Green on the underside. Artwork on
the side of the tail is the outline of a hunting bird....masks are
included for this. National insignias are applied on a white
panel on the fuselage and top and bottom of the wings. There
is a red diagonal stripe on the side of the tail and the prop
spinner is red. On the side of the tail and nose are white
"16". This aircraft also has the usual paint
chipping.
