It didn't take long and
Tally Ho! is here with more Kittyhawk decals. This time with sheet
Kittyhawk III. Part One for P-40K and P-40M versions (1/48 scale sells
under # 48 035 and 1/72 scale under # 72 041).
This sheet
gives you 4 choices - RAF, RAAF, SAAF and RNZAF.
1. Kittyhawk
III. (P-40M) - FR 817 - GL O "Lady Godiva" No.5 Squadron SAAF,
Italy 1945 with great nose art - stork carrying a bomb.
2. Kittyhawk
III. (P-40M) - FR 813 - LD : Flown by F/Lt. D.H. Clarke, flight
"B" Commander, 250 "Sudan" Squadron belong to 239
Wing of 211 Group RAF, Desert Air Force, El Assa, Tunisia 1943. Personal
emblem of D.H. Clarke a "Saint" on port side under windshield.
3. Kittyhawk
III. (P-40 K-15-CU), 42-10325 FE A "Dangerous Beast" which
served with 14 and 15 Sqdn. of RNZAF carrying very interesting
"kill" markings with one British and three Japanese flags
under the cockpit (British flag represents several mid-air
collisions with allies aircraft in New Zealand).
4. Kittyhawk III.
(P-40M) A29-359 MP A "Jen 1" probably the personal aircraft of
Sqdn/Ldr. Stan Galton, 86 Squadron RAAF, Holland New Guinea, April 1944.
Aircraft carries Stan's wife name "Jen" on both sides of the
engine panels.
There is also a
set of masking tapes for those who prefer to paint the national insignia
roundels directly.
Yet another great
decal sheet. My samples are again in perfect register with nose art printed
very fine as usual standard for this manufacturer.
Tally Ho! decals
are available from Squadron.com and Roll Models.
Thanks for
reviewed samples goes to Kamil Meluzin - Tally Ho!
