This new decal sheet f rom Cutting Edge Modelworks includes markings for three different 1/32 Ju-87D/G's including one with the big anti-tank guns under the wings and another in Russian Front winter camo. The first aircraft is a Ju-87D-1 with III./St. G 1 from the winter of 1942-43 in Russia. This aircraft is in the typical RLM70/71/65 scheme of green/green on top and light blue on the undersides that is overpainted on the top sides and fuselage with a white wash of white. The spinner nose cone is white and yellow. There is a yellow theatre stripe on the rear fuselage and yellow wingtips. The area on the rear fuselage sides still show the green/green summer camo around the aircraft codes. The second aircraft is a Ju-87D-8 possibly NSGr.10 that was surrendered at Furth, Germany on May 8 1945. An interesting feature of this aircraft is the lack of wheel splats on the landing gear. This aircraft is in the typical RLM70/71/65 scheme of green/green on top and light blue on the undersides. The spinner nose cone is black with a white spiral (the spiral is provided as a decal). The rudder is yellow as is a wide stripe behind the prop spinner. |

The third aircraft is a Ju-87G flown by Fw. Josef Blumel with 10.(Pz)/SG.3 in the late summer of 1944 out of Riga, Latvia. This particular aircraft was used in the anti-tank role and is fitted with 2 of the big anti-tank cannons (one under each wing). In keeping with it's anti-tank role this aircraft has a white tank kill markings (included as decals) painted on both sides of the engine cowling. This aircraft is in the typical RLM70/71/65 scheme of green/green on top and light blue on the undersides. The spinner nose cone is white with a black spiral (the spiral is provided as a decal). The wingtips are yellow. |
