This new decal sheet from Barracudacals includes markings for 3 different P-47 Thunderbolts with noseart.

The 3 aircraft include 2 from 334th FS with the 4th FG, 8th Air force and the third is a checker tailed Jug from 319th FS, 325th FG, 8th Air Force.

  • P-47D-1-RE ser. # 41-7890 "Boise Bee", 334th FS with the 4th FG, 8th Air Force.  Olive Drab aircraft with a white engine ring cowl and white stripes on tail.  Noseart is an aggressive looking Bee in an 8th Air Force hat brandishing 2 pistols.

  • P-47C-5-RE ser. # 41-6538 "Wela Kahoe", 334th FS with the 4th FG, 8th Air Force.  Olive Drab aircraft with a white engine ring cowl and white stripes on tail.  Noseart is a south seas warrior running with a spear.

  • P-47C-5-RE "Dallas Blonde", 319th FS, 325th FG, 8th Air Force.  Olive Drab aircraft with a red engine ring cowl and black and yellow checkers on the nose and tail.  Noseart is a sexy blonde cowgirl with 2 six shooters.

The instructions are clear and include 4 views of each aircraft.  The decals are beautifully printed on 2 decal sheet with 2 additional insert decal sheets.  You also get one complete set of stencils.  The 4 pages of instructions include all you need to install these fine looking decals.  The quality of the decals is top rate and in perfect register.

I have always enjoyed seeing decals of these brightly coloured USAF fighters that brought liberty to Europe during WW2.
