This new decal sheet from Barracudacals includes markings for 2 different P-47 Thunderbolts with noseart.

The 2 aircraft are from the 8th Air force and both are Olive Drab with noseart.

  • P-47C-5-RE ser. # 41-6538 "Wela Kahoe", 334th FS with the 4th FG, 8th Air Force flown by Capt. Bill Hollander and Capt Stanley Anderson.  Olive Drab aircraft with a white engine ring cowl and white stripes on tail.  Noseart is a south seas warrior running with a spear.

  • P-47D-11-RE "Eileen", 84th FS, 78th FG, 8th Air Force.  Olive Drab aircraft with a black and white checkered engine ring cowl and D-Day stripes on the underside.  Noseart is a yellow and black bee with a six shooter pistol in one hand and a knife in the other hand with the name "Eileen" beside the noseart..

The instructions are clear and include 3 views of each aircraft.  The decals are beautifully printed on 1 decal sheet with one insert decal sheet.  The 4 pages of instructions include all you need to install these fine looking decals.  The quality of the decals is top rate and in perfect register.

I've got a soft spot for WW2 fighters with noseart ...especially ones with D-Day stripes, so this sheet is a big hit with me.

Steve

I would like to thank Barracudacals for providing me with this review sample.
