Today
I am bringing up to your attention the latest USSR/Russian aircraft armament
sets from ARMORY, the Ukrainian up-and-coming manufacturer of aftermarket goods
in 1:72 scale who also are the internet hobby shop. As the manufacturer ARMORY
found their niche producing top quality resin items that otherwise would never
be available to those of us building USSR/Russian made aircraft
Let’s
start from KMGU-2 (pics 2 and 3), the reusable sub-munition dispenser designed
to carry AO-2.5 fragmentation bombs, which are dispensed through the container's
rotary doors downwards, or to either side, depending on how the KMGU-2 container
is mounted. This weapon could be carried by wide variety of planes and
helicopters

The quality of resin cast of each of
the items that I have seen so far is very good. There are no bubbles or any
other surface imperfections, most of the sets have etched parts to reproduce the
real thing in every little detail. The items are well packaged to secure both
resin cast and etched parts while in transit. Each set is also supplied with the
assembly instruction in English with diagrams and paint guide.
I find it a bit tricky when it comes to putting together some of the missiles
especially the ones with tiny etched fins, however it is definitely worth your
while as you would get a very accurate scale model of the armaments that is not
otherwise available in the market.
You can get any of the above and lots more directly from ARMORY web site http://armory.in.ua/index.php?cPath=37_85_91_807&sort=products_sort_order&page=1
A big THANKS to Taras Karabin from ARMORY for the samples.
Happy Modeling
