This latest release from Werner's Wings gives you everything you need to model the current configuration for the AH-1W.

The AH-1W went into service with the USMC in 1985.  Four Squadrons of Super Cobras were involved in the push into occupied Kuwait in 1991where they proved they were an effective anti-armor weapons platform.

The set includes 5 resin parts which you will need to build the current configuration for the AH-1W.  One of the parts is the driveshaft cover for the left side of the AH-1W, which will give you some added detail in the engine compartment area.

You get 2 pages of instructions showing you with photos where to cut your kit to accommodate this conversion set.  The instructions also include a variety of detail photo of the real AH-1W to help you in the conversion process.  The main part has raised rivets to match the kit parts.  The screens on top are not as clear as I would like and I would be tempted to replace them to get really crisp clean detail.

This conversion set will be a big help to anyone wanting to current configuration for the AH-1W and I'm glad to see Werner's Wings has gone to the effort to release this set.

You can purchase these and other fine resin detail items directly from Werner's Wings website.

I would like to thank Werner's Wings for providing me with this review sample.
