Our little planet has been hit by a horrible disaster.  More than one ARC'er has been affected by this earthquake and the Tsunami in Asia.  Please give something for disaster relief on this one to your local Red Cross or Red Crescent or a relief agency and have the funds directed to the relief effort.  These folks need our help and it's time to do our part.

I.P.M.S. Morrrselle in Belgium is having a show on January 22 and 23.  Click on their poster to the right or click here for full details.

  • Leonardo is here with his 1/48 Hasegawa Ju-87R Picchiatello.  This is the Italian Ju-87.  Look carefully at the paint scheme and you'll see the original Luftwaffe markings are painted over.

  • Chee Wee, Sim has dropped by with his 1/144 Dragon F-16C.  It is very hard to believe this is a 1/144 model.....very nicely F-16.

The update is late today.  I got sidetracked moving the ARC Domain name to a faster server.  With luck the home page might load a bit faster.  The homepage on the old server will remain up to redirect people.  I would suggest after you read this note that you hold down your "Ctrl" key and press your "F5" key.  This will get this new webpage in your computers cache and will load the new correct links in the top ARC banner.

  • Phil Hastie is here with his 1/72 Hasegawa Douglas AD-6 Skyraider.  Although Phil built this Skyraider out of the box, he does include helpful info in his article about building this kit.  Nice one Phil.

  • Armin Knes is here with his 1/48 Monogram Su-25K (early).  Armin used his airbrush for the first time building his Su-25.  Quite the attractive paint scheme Armin.....I like it.

  • Leonardo joins us with his very nice 1/48 Classic Airframes Re.2001.  A very attractive model of this Italian fighter.

  • Christopher Tyson joins us with his highly detailed 1/48 Monogram F-4C/D Phantom II.  Although this one was built mostly out of the box.....you must take a close look at the paint job......quite a bit of skill and effort went into the tiny details on the paint job.

Saturday,  Dec 4  2004        No update today....still doing those forum pics.
Friday,  Dec 3  2004
  • I'm finishing up the last of the uploading of the ARC Forum images...only about 5,000 more images to go.  But this is keeping me from getting much done on the updates.  I'm pushing hard to get this over with as soon as possible.

  • If you are having problems logging into the ARC forums.....Your problem is simple.  Your computer is trying to log into the old forum.  Make sure you are using this URL http://s102164210.onlinehome.us/forums/index.php?s=5c1ccf131704ea58abef4e40c573798e

If you still have problems....delete your temporary internet files by doing the following...  In IE, go to the menu bar at the top of the browser, click Tools, and then Internet Options. From there, a popup window will appear - click Delete Files and Delete Cookies, and then in the next column down, click Clear History.

Then, when you come back to ARC, hold down the CTRL key and press F5. This will force a full refresh of the page. This should do it. Contact me if you still have problems after doing the above.

Ming Ho  is here today with his Dec 2004 desktop calendars  which include the new ARC Logo designed by our own Steve Filak

Thursday,  Dec 2  2004    Laos Proclamation of the Republic    United Arab Emirates National Day

The downloading of the forum images from the old server is complete.  The total was over 25,000 images and over 1.1 gigs of data.  Well done everyone......an don't worry ARC has unlimited space.  I'm in the process of almost uploading them.....once that is complete......I can permit uploading of images again.  The process is slow and it does tie up my ARC computer making updates very difficult to get done on time.....but it's getting there.

  • Christian Curec - aka Chris Cat is here with an article for yesterday's National Day in Romania.  This is his   1/48 Gavia Kozedub’s Lavoshkin La-7 a lovely weathering job and equally fantastic looking diorama base.  This aircraft was flown by Ace Ivan Kozhedub (the top scoring Ace of WW2.

  • Philip Jones is here today with his 1/48 Hasegawa Phantom FG Mk. 1.  This is a RAF Phantom II and Philip has gone into some great detail in his article how he achieved his impressive results.

  • Stuart Quinn-Harvie is here with his first article on ARC.  This is his 1/48 Academy Spitfire 14c in D-Day stripes and full weathering.  This Spitfire is built out of the box and the end result  is very nice indeed.  Welcome to ARC Stuart.
