Binding Leo starts today with his awesome looking 1/48 Trumpeter PLA J-7G Fighter (MiG-21).  This is actually the latest most advanced version of the MiG-21 and this stunning model even includes noseart.  It was a treat to see this beauty and the weathering job.

Shawn "phantom" Weiler is here to add a splash of colour with his Flying Banana.  This is a very special Piasecki H-21 that is modified for water landings with resin balloons and decals from Belcher Bits.  This is one very cool project.

Ahson Aftab joins us today with a flawless looking bare metal 1/48 Academy F-86 Sabre in Pakistani markings.  Ahson tells the history of the Sabre in the PAF and his Sabre came out looking great with all those stencils and a very cool weapons load.  The helmet on the wing is a very nice touch.

Steve Norton has done a stunning job weathering his 1/48 Tamiya F4U-1A Corsair.  Steve used a very popular paint chipping technique that gave him a well weathered look.  Steve also varied his shades of paint to further enhance the weathering.  Check out this beauty, it is a joy to see.

Ermanno Bonafin is here with his 1/48 Gallery Models UH-34D Marines as it appeared before a tragic accident in Vietnam in 1967.  Ermanno did a very fine job detailing his UH-34 before giving it a beautifully shaded weathered look.  Every area of this model looks completely realistic.  Quite amazing work Ermanno.

Mick has been a long time member on the ARC forums and today I am pleased to show you his first model in the ARC gallery section.  This is his 1/48 Academy F-14A Sundowners "Miss Molly" finished to an excellent level.  Mick is very modest in his article....wait until you see the cockpit photos and his panel line weathering looks fantastic.  I hope to see more of Mick's models on ARC in the future.  Welcome to the ARC homepage Mick...it's a beautiful Tomcat!!!

Paul Coppin is here with the first Dornier Do-215 on ARC.  This is his 1/48 Revell Do 215 B-5 finished in night fighter colors complete with nose radar antennas.  Paul used Eduard photos etch and used a shading technique on his black upper wings to give them an more engaging look.  To really add some detail he removed one of the engines covers to exposed a fully detailed engine.  This is a sharp looking model of this cool looking night fighter.  Beautifully done Paul.

Peter added detail to the cockpit and landing gear bays with a variety of scratchbuilt parts and then added scratchbuilt gun barrels and rivets to his P-40 before giving the exterior a wash and weathering.  I love the colourful Brazilian markings on this flawless metal fighter.

WW1 Events - this date in  1916

Luqmanul Hakim is here with a super detailed 1/700 USS Theodore Roosevelt CVN-71. I was surprised this carrier was 1/700...the detail is more suitable for 1/350.  And yes there are Jolly Rogers Tomcats launching with stream coming off the catapult and tiny deck crew and so much more.  And the water is very realistic.  Enjoy all the photos.

Vitor Hugo Sousa has done some stunning painting and weathering on his 1/48 Wingman Alphajets.  This is Part 2 of his article and today he shows you how he did the amazing painting and weathering on his 2 Portuguese jets. Vitor is very skilled when it comes to finishing his models.
