Model shows this weekend:

Waldek Pupar  has done a perfect job finishing his 1/72 Italeri/Revell Mirage 2000C Tigermeet.  Waldek chose one of the most amazing paint schemes ever worn by the Mirage 2000 and his skill at painting and weathering made it possible to finish his special model to a very high standard.  A fantastic looking Mirage.

Dragan Cvetic was busy upgrading the cockpit detail on his 1/72 Aircast resin Soko NJ-21 Jastreb. He did add some other detail to improve this little jet and then finished it in Yugoslav markings.  It's very cool to see this on ARC.

Here's a product article for the 1/32 F-14 Tomcat Fuel Tank Pylons from Zactomodels.  This resin detail set provides replaces the kit pylons with highly detailed resin parts.  All the panel line and rivet detail is finely recessed and on the under side of the pylons is some bomb attachment detail that is very well rendered.  This detail set is designed for the Tamiya kit.

Thomas Brückelt starts today with his two beautifully detailed and wonderfully finished 1/48 Academy / CMK AH-6F & MH-6.  Thomas did some exceptional work on both of this choppers and he explains the process in his article.  I love these choppers.

Dragan Cvetic did an amazing job converting the 1/72 Soko IJ-22 Orao to a recce Orao.  This was quite the involved project and Dragan also added scratchbuilt cockpit detailing and detailed the landing gear and added a metal pitot tube before giving it a Yugoslav camo scheme and markings.  This is quite the attractive little jet.

Géza "G'cart" Szekér has done an outstanding job adding scratchbuilt detail to his 1/72 Hasegawa F-106A Delta Dart.  Géza also added some figures and airfield equipment to create a great looking diorama to compliment this great looking F-106. 

Carmel J. Attard is here with another of his vac-u-formed gems.  This is his 1/72 Aeroclub De Havilland DH 83 Fox Moth complete with rigging and civilian registration markings.  This is the first DH 83 on ARC and it is good to see this one here on ARC.

  Memorial Day   

No product articles today out of respect for Memorial Day.

Carl Jarosz has combined bare metal foil and metalizer paints to create his stunniing 1/48 Revell F-89D Scorpion to honor Memorial Day.  This is a big beautiful Scorpion made with an older kit that builds up into a great looking model is given some love and patience.  Nicely done Carl.

Waldek Pupar is here to honor Memorial Day with his very cool 1/72 Revell McDonnell-Douglas F/A-18F Super Hornet.  Waldek finished his Super Hornet in a "Digital Splinter Camouflage" which looks excellent.

Bob TheDoc is here with his beautifully finished 1/72 Revell Me-262A-1.  Bob was impressed with this kit and finished it as a late 1944 Me- 262 with excellent results.  I love the look of this Me-262.

Anniversary of the Chilean Navy and the anniversary of the Iquique´s Naval Combat (South Pacific War, between Chile, Peru and Bolivia)

Gerd Wilcken has done an outstanding job on this conversion.  He started with the 1/72 Revell Kfir C2 and converted it into a Fuerza Aèrea Colombiana C-12. Gerd details the step by step process in his article to get a great looking model of the C-12.

Greg Kerry is here with his refueling scene using the 1/72 Hobbyboss Mi-2 Hoplite.  Greg combined a refueling truck with figures and his Mi-2 Hoplite wearing Polish markings.  Pretty cool looking scene.

Norway Constitution Day

Model shows this weekend:

Gerd Wilcken starts today with his very attractive 1/72 Zvezda Messerschmitt Bf 109 F-2 (Special decoration) wearing winter camo as it appeared on the Russian front.  Gerd explains the build process in his article and tells about the Bf-109 F2.  I love the look of WW2 aircraft wearing winter camo.


Carl Jarosz has created a very unique F9F-5 Panther.  This is the 1/48 Trumpeter F9F-5 Panther “The Blue Tail Fly” (VF-153) which is a jet made by combining the parts from 2 battle damaged F9F-5 Panthers.  Carl explains the process to create this jet with it's unique combination of markings and in the end Carl pulled it off and created a very unique jet.

Dambusters Raid - RAF bombing of Ruhr Valley Dams 

Dragan Cvetic has done an exceptional job building the 1/72 LM resin Soko J-22 Orao.  Dragan found this kit to have a challenging fit but he stuck with it and produced a great looking model of this rare little jet.  Dragen also added some extra detail to complete his model.

Graham Symmonds has done an outstanding job building his 1/12 Space Helmet Models Buzz Aldrin figure.  Graham used an original photo of the event to replicate this historical event in human history.  Graham also custom made decals to get his Buzz Aldrin figure looking as close as possible to the real man.  Beautifully done Graham.

Rodrigo Rendon is here with his exceptional detailed and weathered 1/144 Bandai Millennium Falcon.  Rodrigo used some aftermarket detail items and expert modeling skill to pull this beauty together and has it on display in the Death Star 

Murad Özer built this amazing 1/48 Tamiya F4U-1 Corsair out of the box but his weathering job takes this battle weary fighter to a whole new level. Murad explains his weathering technique in his article.

Paraguay Independence Day

Bob TheDoc did an extremely fine job building and finishing his 1/72 Roden LaGG-3.  Bob tells the history of this wooden WW2 Russian fighter and then includes 12 photos of his gem it's summer camo.  Very nice indeed Bob.

Shawn “phantom” Weiler joins us with his 1/48 Revell and Hasegawa F-18C Hornets finished in USN markings.  Shawn has a good selection of Hornets in his display case and it is great to see these on ARC.  Very nice indeed Shawn.

Thomas Brückelt has done a fantastic job adding detail to his 1/72 Revell DHC-6 Twin Otter.  Thomas finished it in the markings for a small Canadian Airline.

Dragan Cvetic did some excellent work improving his 1/72 Zvezda MiG-21bis.  He dressed up the cockpit with a resin seat and scratchbuilt HUD and even lengthened the fuselage.  The markings are for a Cuban jet which look great with this camo scheme.

Model shows this weekend:

Patrick Vossenberg starts today with 2 awesome 1/72 Hasegawa F-104G (2x).  Patrick added resin ejection seats to dress up the cockpit and finished them with a lovely weathering job and markings for Taiwan and Greece.  Very nicely done Patrick.

Mike Muth did an outstanding job building and finishing his 1/32 Wingnut Wings Hansa-Branderburg W.29.  This is the float plane version and Mike explains much about the W.29 and it's history.  This is a stunning model of this early monoplane with it's eye catching camo pattern.

  Malta gets Spitfires 64 Spitfires are ferried to Malta by USS Wasp 

Dragan Cvetic gets this special Israeli update started to celebrate the Israeli Independence Day with his 1/72 Airfix B-17Dragan built this bomber mostly out of the box with the addition of aftermarket decals and modifications to the turret.  I love how the B-17 looks in this camo.

Steve Negley is also here on this special day with his sweet looking 1/48 Kinetic Kfir C7.  Steve built this gem out of the box and finished it with a weapons load and Israeli markings and camo.

Dragan Cvetic added extra scratchbuilt detailing and then gave his Israeli 1/72 Academy P-51D Mustang a great looking camo scheme.  It is a very unique looking Mustang.

Thomas Brückelt has done an excellent job building and weathering his 1/72 KP Avia S-199.  This is a classic fighter used by Israel in the early days and it looks great in the Star of David markings.

Carmel J Attard is here with a very interesting project of a special 1/72 Matchbox Vickers Wellington Mk V prototype.  This is special Wellington required a conversion set and some of Carmel's skilled scratchbuilding skills to pull together but the finished model is quite interesting to see with it's single pilot cockpit etc.  Carmel explains the whole history and build process in his article.


Michael Taylor has done an exceptional job on his 1/48 Hobbyboss A-6A Intruder.  Michael folded the wings and did some extra detailing before using some great looking aftermarket decals to finish his bomber as a USMC bird.  I quite like to look of this Intruder.

Carl Jarosz is here with his excellent looking 1/72 Hasegawa P-3C Orion Centennial of German Naval Aviation.  This is a German Anniversary bird and I quite like the look of the paint scheme.  Carl has provided some very helpful tips for building this kit.  Carl gave his Orion a gentle weathering job to complete it.

Dragan Cvetic is here with his great looking 1/72 Hobbyboss Rafale M in French markings with Tiger artwork on the tail.  Dragan built this beauty out of the box and gave it some subtle weathering.

Poland Constitution Day

Dragan Cvetic went all out superdetailing his 1/48 Revell Spitfire Mk XVI.  Dragan added an engine and full cockpit detailing and much more work.  His finished Spitfire is a delight to see.

George Salerno (Chorse6) did some exceptional old school kitbashing to build and complete his 1/48 Rockwell XFV-12 Prototype.  This is a very cool looking aircraft and I admire George for building one for his display case.  He has some in-progress photos to show how he did it.

Tolga Ülgür starts today with his beautifully weathered 1/48 ProModeler F-102A finished in TuAF markings.  Tolga used aftermarket detail items to9 dress up the cockpit and used aftermarket decals for the national markings.  It's good to see this F-102 on ARC.

Klaasjan Schuuring put some excellent effort into detailing and weathering his 1/48 Eduard (Hasegawa) Typhoon Mk-1b.  Klaasjan tells about the improvements Eduard made on this kit, which makes me keen to build this Typhoon.  His finished model is a treat to see.

Greg Kerry starts today with his 1/72 Academy Fieseler Storch wearing a north Africa camo scheme and finished in a diorama with figures and a fuel truck. I love the look of the desert camo schemes.

Shawn “phantom” Weiler has done quite the stunning job on the 1/537 AMT USS Reliant.  Shawn added LED lighting and the multi panel look of the saucer section looks quite convincing. It's good to see some Sci Fi on ARC.
