Hello Fellow modelers, I have a new model to show off to you. Here is my version of Tamaya's F-14D Tomcat. I did it completely out of the box for the exception of the decals I used.

It took me well over a month and a half to build this aircraft, along with 3 others that I was trying to finish for my local hobby show last Feburary 14th. I painted it light gull grey and painted the stablelizers and anti-glare strip dark royal blue. I detailed the cockpit as much as I could as well as the landing gear. I have it loaded with 4 GBU-31 JDAMS, 2 Phoenix missiles and 2 Aim-9m sidewinders. I also added a spare GPS antenna on the spine of the aircraft close to the cockpit. I know that the Tomcat was known to only carry 2 JDAMS on its front under belly racks, but I just hated to waste that xtra space in the back racks.  I did not put the AN/AAQ-14 Lantern on its rack because I figure this set-up I have now could have been in the future if the Tomcat would not have retired it. With the GPS and its GPS guided bombs what more could you possible need to take out the enemy. The decals are from Aeromaster decals. I did the VF-32 Swordsman squadron. They came out ok I guess.

I hope you enjoy this Tomcat I built. I will miss this aircraft flying in real life. I'm sorry they had to retire it. It was the best  plane around in my opinion.
