Well, this one took some time to get finished as it was (as usual) built in parallel with other models. More or less about two years…

The main point of interest is the modification on the wings. Yes, it is the E variant, “Modified” also in scale. In other words I did start with the F-86E kit and not with the (more appropriate) F-86F model kit… But I was rewarded with a pair of spare slats for a future F-86D project!

Part of the modification was also the V-shaped windshield.

The model was brush-painted with Citadel acrylics for the metal look, Humbrol red gloss enamel and Humbrol acrylic black.

Wash was done with acrylic black, water and soap.

Some scratch building in the cockpit was also part of the joy…
