It was
finished with the aid of a resin cockpit from Pavla (amazingly detailed
for braille scale!) and a hypodermic pitot tube courtesy of me :-)
In order to
capture the weathering typical of modern Russian military aircraft, I used
a combination of pre & post shading and a very light post-wash with
Vallejo pigments (it's easy to go overboard with weathering in 1/72nd!).
Oddly enough, this is probably
the longest build that I have ever done... Approximately 9 years
go-to-whoa! Not because of any real problem with the build, I basically
put the kit aside one day and forgot about it for the best part of a
decade :-D
I actually sold this one on an internet auction site to an American
soldier based in Iraq... I hope it got there in one piece, as I was quite
fond of it!
Hope you like
my Fencer :-)
Happy
modelling from Australia!
