Hello dear all!  This is the last model that I've built, an Hasegawa Chance Vought F4U-7 Corsair.  This version was the very last produced of this famous aircraft and only 94 were build for French navy.

The French navy Corsair was highly involved in Indochina and Algeria war and during Suez crisis.  Each time the Corsair was very efficient as ground attack aircraft.

After a very disappointing essay by Heller, Hasegawa offered us a very nice replica, even if, extrapolated from F4U-5 version previously produced by the manufacturer, some details are not suitable for an F4U-7 (for example instrument panel is equipped with a radar scope!).

Some little improvements have been made in the cockpit (gunsight, mirrors...) and as my aircraft is on a ground without her pilot I've realised all the "steps" in down position.
Hasegawa P W R-2800 engine, a little too simplified for me, was exchange for a resin equivalent produced by Hi Tech model, the wheels were also replaced by Ultracast pieces, which are superb!

My Corsair belong to flottille 14F, this decoration was extracted from a decal sheet produced by Berna Decals company.

Hoping you will like this modest tribute to this legend.
