Hello ARC!

Here is my Revell/Monogram Spitfire, built completely OOB as Douglas Bader's airplane.  There are more detailed Spitfire kits available, but despite it's age, this one can still be made up into a nicely detailed kit, with little effort, and is still detailed enough to stand on its own, (in my humble opinion!)

I used Model Master Acryl paints through my airbrush for the camouflage after giving it a silver primer coat from a spray can and a bit of pre-shading.  I scraped away some of the paint with my fingernails where I wanted bare metal showing, and used soft pastels to replicate engine exhaust, gunpowder and a bit of mud thrown up towards the wings (from landing on wet, grassy muddy airfields).

The base is another find from the thrift store (bases are cheaper there!) with a layer of spackle, smeared liberally with brown poster paint, then covered with grass and bushes from Woodland Scenics.

Thanks for looking - CHEERS!!!
