This is a Hasegawa F-104G Starfighter mostly modified to CF-104 status. With the addition of a resin seat to replace the "G" style seat and Quick Boost radar set. Also used are Belcher Bits decals to make the seldom seen 1971-1973 scheme.

In the late 60's the government of the day got rid of the Royal Canadian Air Forces (and RCN and Canadian Armys) identities. The three commands were merged into a bizarre so called money saving measure called the Canadian Armed Forces. Until a couple decades later the same government made them drop the "Armed"....don't want to sound mean after all. So in keeping with the fact around 20% of the country spoke French they slapped French titles on the starboard side of the airframes, while English is on port. The ICAO told us "Ya can't do that, markings must be the same on both sides".  So they spent more money on sandpaper and paint and came out with "Symmetrical markings" which we kept until the late 90's when the military were forced to adopt "Postal truck" style markings.

Right, enough about that, the model is the very briefly used CAF scheme. The only colour photo I had of this scheme shows 104847 with three practice snake eye bombs and no wing tanks. So apart from the exposed radar that is how I made it.
