This is the second time I built a HH-60H. This time using the Skunkworks kit. Skunkworks adds some nice detail to the (what I "think") was the Italeri kit. This version adds some really nice Eduard photoetch. but of course being a helicopter you do not see ANY of it once the model is finished. It also adds a weapons pylon sprue which for some strange reason is molded in clear plastic.

I thought the HH-60 I did several years ago was poorly done. And it was, but it seems I made the same mistakes with the poorly fitting front windshield. Just this time I was able to correct the errors a little better.

I used the kit decals as it is representing a CVW-8 airframe. All my USN that are not aggressors or Phantoms are AJ tail coded. One weird thing. The skunkworks decals say that this airframe is the same Bu.number as the non modified one I did many years ago.

I added a couple photos that include the old helicopter that this one replaced. It was hit by the cat some time back, think the cat ate the missing main rotor blade. Good thing I kept it as my kit did not have the clear yellow thing that goes on the spine. Stole that from the old kit and transferred it to the new one. This one will NEVER win an IPMS model show, but...........I do not really care.
