The model shows how the planned RTF-104G could have been looked. It was planned to make a long range reconnaissance aircraft out of the TF-104G. It was never realized, because the RF-4E Phantom was used therefore. Two RF-104G-1 were built (EB+121 and KG+330) to test the systems  http://www.arcair.com/Gal15/14501-14600/gal14515-F-104-Bruckelt/00.shtm

There exist no drawings or pictures of the RTF-104G. But I read that it should have the longer nose and the sideward looking radar and a camera in the pod below the fuselage, as the RF-104G-1 had. Further there should be flashlights inside the tiptanks to make better pictures at night missions.  I also added chaff/flare dispensers on the tail.

I used the old Heller-kit for my model. I added two pilot figures. The additional parts for the RTF-104G I´ve built from scratch. The model was painted with brush. I used colours from Humbrol and Revell. The decals came from other kits and after market decal sheets. The model was sealed with flat clear varnish.
